Tender, Vacant, Emergent—Poludnitsa's second album—was conceived during a period of change, discovery, and growth and recorded in October of 2019. Inspired by ideas relating to process and form, the recording offered an oppurtunity for us to expand on the rhythmically-driven interplay of our debut with a broader array of influences and instruments at our disposal. It is an album rooted simultaneously in embrace and dissolution; a document of contradictions, inconsistencies, and trepidation; and a representation of a fractured yet passionate sense of becoming.
